VALENTINEs IN PARIS

Paris is always a good idea but for Valentine’s weekend? It feels extra magical. My husband and I decided to escape the daily grind for a few days and spend quality time together in the City of Light. From quiet strolls along the Seine to indulging in delicious food, this trip reminded us why Paris has its reputation as the most romantic city in the world.

Here’s a little recap of our weekend and some tips to help you plan your trip to Paris.

 ACTIVITIES TO CONSIDER

Visit the Musée d’Orsay: A stunning museum housed in a former train station, with incredible Impressionist art.

Climb the Arc de Triomphe: The panoramic views of Paris, including the Eiffel Tower, are breathtaking.

And don’t forget to stop by a local boulangerie for croissants and pastries, or grab a crêpe from a street vendor while you’re out exploring.

QUICK TIPS

Best time to visit: Spring (March–June) and fall (September–October) are ideal, but February is quieter and still has its cosy charm.

Getting around: Paris is super walkable. The metro is easy to navigate, and taxis or Ubers are everywhere if your feet need a break.

Money: They use euros (€), and most places take credit cards.

Language: A little French goes a long way, but most people in tourist areas speak English.

Airports: Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Orly (ORY) are your main options.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Our weekend in Paris was everything we needed—romantic, relaxing, and full of great memories. The Beauregard Hotel was the perfect place to stay, and the city itself reminded us why it’s such a timeless destination.

Until next time, Paris… we’ll be back.
